Picture of David and Adriana Together, my wife and I form David and Adriana Missions (aka DNAMissions). Adriana is a Christian Missionary with a heart for Wales and Israel. Professionally Adriana is language teacher and I am a Physicist (and for those who are interested, my career profile can be summarised by the details on the GEES website)

Adriana's family are from the city of João Pessoa in the north-east of Brazil and she was called to work for the LORD in the UK in the 1990s. Adriana's missionary journey is a testimony of God's power and faithfulness in itself which we might detail more carefully at a later date. But nevertheless, she came to the UK to work in Merthyr Tydfil after "spying the land" via short-term missionary project run in the UK city of Birmingham. After working for a year in Wales she returned on a more permanent basis to study at Swansea Bible College (during the period 2000 and 2003). During this time she worked with - and was supported by - a congregational church in Briton Ferry called Bethesda Cwrt-Sart. It was at this point that I came on the scene!

DNA with David's parents I had studied for my degree and PhD in South Wales in the Swansea University Physics Department and in 2000 - after 7 years there - I had decided "never" to go back. Following this decision, I worked for the Chemistry Department at Edinburgh University and then for the DEHRM in Birmingham. It was at this point God acted in my life causing to break that decision I had made never to go back to South Wales. He had put a desire in my heart to develop futher my RND high-power laser skills and quess what - Swansea University had the perfect job to satisfy this will. Furthermore, He put in my heart a desire to learn Welsh - bizzare I know for an Englishman - but God has a sense of humour! It was in these lessons that I met Adriana and in roughly 12 months I was saved and we were married - when you meet Jesus there has to be a change in your life and there was, and continues to be changes for the better, in my and now our married lives!

Reflecting back, it is also comical when I think that I also said to myself that I would "never" get married! But as testimony to God's power, He put in my heart a desire to marry, and support through my carrier, a wife with a worthy cause - that I now understand - is set aside for a special plan God has for this land of Wales. Since this point we have both formed DNA Missions - to the glory of God.
