Useful Information, Welsh phrases and dialogue used when Preaching

The Order of Service

The traditional service in Wales lasts for 1 hour with 30 minutes
dedicated to preaching. We refer to this style as a sandwich
service because the items are separated by hymns.

The Lord's Prayer

Ein Tad, yn hwn wyt yn y nefoedd
Santeiddier dy Enw/
Deled dy deyrnas /,gwneler dy ewyllys /
megis yn y nef / felly ar y ddaer hefyd,
Dyro inni heddiw / ein bara beunyddiol.
A maddau i ni / ein dyledion /
Fel y maddeuwn ninniau / i'n dyled wyr /
Ac nac arwain ni i brofedigaeth /
eithr gwared ni rhag drwg /
Canys eiddot Ti yw'r deyrnas /, a'r nerth,
a'r gogoniant /, yn oes oesoedd / Amen.

The Benediction - Y Fenith

Gras ein harglwydd
Iesu Grist, a chariad duw,
a chymdeithas yr ysbryd glan,
a fyddo gydd ni oll,
O'r awr hon hyd byth - Amen.
